hehehe, i don't draw all that much anymore, and so i've lost some of my dexterity. i meant it in a "longing" sort of way. like "dang, i really should draw more"

:)

why don't you draw the bottom lip? when you don't it kinda makes it look like shes biting her lip.

in this i was just drawing shadow shapes. the lower lip was mostly lit. so i just drew the under shadow ^_^

the fingers were splayed over her leg, but only the tips peaked out from under her robe. i need to clean up the linework some.

Very nice, as always. That's done in pen, right? What type of pens do you use, and are they varied widths?

Yeah this is done in regular pen, i use the Pigma Micron pens, my favs are the 01 and 005 width tips. i used just the 01 for this. and made some lines heavy.

I never could get used to just using pens, but now that I understand how to use varied line width, I might just have to try again. Any good tips you could share, or is it just having good control over the pen?

pens are a tough nut to crack, honestly, they are not forgiving. i guess it's just practice and learning to accept every line you draw.

Accepting every line, yep that's the hard part for me. Why do we have to be so damned critical of ourselves?

A lot of the time I prefer line drawings over colored ones, something about the little things that get lost in a colored picture, little things that seem to stand out in a line drawing, like the shoe strap around her ankle.

Yet again, another lovely drawing Jess.

I like it. You mastered something I have trouble with myself: drawing a feminine jaw line. No matter how hard I try, by adding a jaw line, my women always look manly.

sometimes, i like strong jaws, but she had a VERY feminine face.

i have no advice other than make it more round.

AWESOME job on hands, and that's pretty much the most difficult part, along with feet... so, 5/5.

She is awesome, I love the detail on all the clothing items, and the shall.

Your light hatching seems to be getting better, from this layman's eyes.

Her expression is sort of a blank stare though, without the eyes I think its hard to determine depth of feeling. Sort of like old roman busts.

It was actually her robe, this fluffy white thing. and thank you. there needs to be a bit more noodling for the robe, but >_< i get weird when i work on something for too long.

i liked the blank eyes, but i am weird.
